We believe privacy should be simple. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

ARmenu ("we", "us", "our") operates the ARmenu platform and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information about our restaurant clients, their teams, and visitors who interact with AR menus. Questions? Email hello@armenu.co.uk.

Information We Collect

  • Contact information — name, email address, phone number, and restaurant name when you sign up or contact us.
  • Dish photos — images you send us to create 3D AR models. These are used solely to produce your AR assets.
  • Usage data — anonymous scan counts, device types, and geographic regions via QR code analytics. No personally identifiable visitor data is stored.
  • Payment information — processed securely through Stripe. ARmenu never stores card numbers or banking details.

How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver your 3D AR models and QR codes within the agreed turnaround time.
  • To send transactional emails (delivery confirmations, update notifications).
  • To provide aggregate scan analytics on your ARmenu dashboard.
  • To improve our 3D processing pipeline and service quality.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage & Security

  • AR model files (USDZ, GLB) are hosted on a global CDN with TLS encryption in transit.
  • Dish photos are retained for 90 days after model delivery, then permanently deleted.
  • Customer contact data is stored in encrypted databases with access limited to authorised ARmenu personnel.
  • We use industry-standard security practices including SOC 2-compliant infrastructure.

Cookies & Analytics

  • Our marketing website uses minimal first-party cookies for session management.
  • QR code scan analytics are privacy-preserving — no visitor IP addresses or personal data are logged.
  • We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
  • You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time via your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

  • Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Cloudinary — video and media delivery for demo content.
  • Apple Object Capture — local 3D model processing on secure servers.
  • We select partners who meet GDPR and privacy standards equivalent to our own.

Your Rights

  • Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

Data Retention

  • Active account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 12 months.
  • Dish photos: 90 days after model delivery, then deleted.
  • QR scan analytics (aggregate, non-personal): retained indefinitely.
  • Upon account closure, all personal data is deleted within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email to active account holders.
  • Continued use of ARmenu after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
